Bethany Evans, LCSW

Bethany is a Licensed Certified Social Worker. She is very passionate about her work and helping those she comes into contact with to have more fully engaged lives. She believes that we are born into a world at war and our stories are vital to the healing of our hearts to be fully alive. She loves to provide evidence-based treatments that have shown to be helpful but also seeks to help people to fully heal in mind, body, and spirit. She has a particular passion for working with those who have been impacted by trauma. She will be happy to utilize prayer, listening to the holy spirit, biblical verses, and different types of freedom prayer if you are comfortable with those in your healing journey.

Bethany grew up in Arkansas and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Addiction Studies Treatment from the University of Central Arkansas in 2010. She then worked as a school-based mental health paraprofessional from 2010 until she began her master’s in 2012 when she also became an intern and worked with juvenile drug court and intensive family services. After earning a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2014 she worked as a therapist in a school-based setting, under a contract treating children with abuse at a local child advocacy center, and in a rural community health setting treating primarily adults. Bethany has experience in many areas including work with trauma, traumatic grief, abuse, child sexual behavior problems, depression, anxiety, psychosis, dissociative disorders, ADHD and other behavioral problems in childhood, parenting problems, attachment issues, and drug and alcohol addictions. She is trained in EMDR, TF-CBT, and CPP (all evidence-based models for trauma in various age groups) and provides services to individuals, couples, and families.
