Anna Kirkes, LCSW

Anna Practices in Our West Little Rock Location.

Anna is a licensed certified social worker practicing in her hometown. Anna received her Master of Social Work from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2017. Anna feels passionate about joining with adolescents and adults as they navigate issues such as trauma recovery, anxiety/OCD, depression, shame, life transitions, and building healthy attachments while discovering and honoring their unique strengths and identities.

Prior to joining Napa Valley Counseling, Anna gained experience working with kids, teens, and parents with a focus on treating trauma and sexual abuse at a specialty outpatient clinic.  Anna currently utilizes various evidence-based trauma interventions to walk with clients in healing relational wounds through building trusting relationships and rewriting old stories into more hopeful, truthful narratives.

Anna also received her MFA in Dance Performance in 2011 and spent years performing professionally, teaching, and choreographing dance. For individuals who are interested, Anna integrates supportive, talk-based psychotherapy with a body-based method of treating trauma called Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY). TCTSY is an evidence-based, movement-oriented approach to healing trauma without words.

Anna has a funny, outdoorsy husband and is a mom to two wild and wonderful boys.  She delights in drinking coffee all day long, eating a good dessert, and hiking/camping with her family.
