Thomas received his training at Harding University, earning a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2023. Before his counseling career, he worked as a Youth Minister for 5 years where he developed his ability to build deep helping relationships, especially with young people. Before that, he was a missionary kid, which gave him experience in building relationships with people from cultures all over the world.
His experience includes a broad range of issues: depression, anxiety, grief, ADHD and other behavioral problems of childhood, premarital counseling, anger management, abuse, and other major life stressors that may arise. He has worked with children and teenagers his entire career, while also enjoying working with clients of all ages.
Thomas’ counseling philosophy is rooted in developing a strong therapeutic alliance. He loves creative and narrative-based approaches, but fully believes every client is different and deserves a unique approach. It takes collaboration to find what will be most helpful for you and your unique situation.
Outside of counseling, Thomas also works as an actor, loves going to the movies, and spending time with his amazing wife and children.
